A cherished favorite of Long Island concertgoers, The Nassau Pops Symphony Orchestra was founded to provide Long Islanders with an orchestra devoted to the performance of light classical and popular music, a repertory that has come to span great Broadway scores, music from the movies and Sousa marches. Based in Mineola, the orchestra performs at Nassau Community College, St. John's University and Chaminade High School. Each summer the orchestra, under the leadership of Maestro Louis Panacciulli, has delighted park audiences throughout Nassau County.
